Abstract

In our study we aimed to evaluate the in vitro pancreatic lipase inhibition, and anti-diabetic activity of Stevia rebuadiana. Using HPLC analysis, the phenolic contents of the Stevia rebuadiana extract were identified. This revealed the existence of certain polyphenolic chemicals, which are responsible for the extract's medicinal potential. Albumin and total protein levels were lowered with Stevia rebuadiana. When compared to the induced control, a significant increase in HDL-c and a drop in LDL-c levels were seen. In comparison to the control group, Stevia rebuadiana displayed modest to moderate lobular disarray and minimal to mild multifocal and diffuse granular degeneration in the histological investigation. Applying 1 milligram of Stevia rebuadiana aqueous extract resulted in a greater inhibition of lipase.
