About the Journal

The Journal of Basic Sciences (ISSN: 3105-8728) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published periodically (quarterly) by Alasmarya Islamic University.

Mission & Goals: It is dedicated to providing a rigorous platform for the publication of original research articles that have not been previously published, with the aim of advancing knowledge across fundamental academic disciplines.

Scope of the Journal

The journal provides a platform for researchers and academics to publish their work in the following fields:

Mathematics , Physics , Chemistry , Biology , Statistics , Computer Science

Journal Policies

Open Access Policy

The journal follows an open-access policy. All content is freely accessible and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted use and reproduction provided the original work is properly cited.

Author Fees

In support of open science, the journal does not charge any fees for submission, peer review, or publication. Alasmarya Islamic University fully covers all costs.

Indexing & Archiving

The journal is indexed in Google Scholar and other databases. All articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) through CrossRef, ensuring long-term digital preservation.

Languages & Review Process

Submissions are accepted in both Arabic and English and undergo a rigorous double-masked peer-review process to maintain scholarly quality and integrity.

History and Publication Versions

The journal was established in 1989 and has undergone several title changes throughout its rich history:

1989 - 1993 (Until Volume 5):

Published under the title "Journal of Human Sciences".

1994 (Volume 6) - 2019 (Volume 32):

Appeared as the "Journal of Human and Applied Sciences".

2020 (Vol 33, Issue 1) - 2022 (Vol 35, Issue 2):

The title became "Journal of Applied Sciences".

2023 (Vol 36, Issue 1) - Present:

Published under its current name, "Journal of Basic Sciences".

Important Note: From 1989 to 2013, the journal was published only in print, and no electronic copies of those earlier volumes are available.
