الملخص

5-Amino-6-benzoyl-4-methyl-2-phenylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine (3) and 5-Amino-4-methyl-2-phenylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-6-carboxamide (5) , were prepared from 5-Cyano-4-methyl-2-phenylpyrimidin-6(1H)-thione(1). The reaction of compound 5 with some carbonyl compounds lead to the formation of pyrimidothienopyrimidinone derivatives 6 - 9.Compound 7was used asprecursor for synthesis of4-Methyl-2-phenyl-6-(substitutedmethyl)pyrimido[4^\,5^\:4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin--8(7H)-one ( 10 - 13) by reaction with different amines .Compounds 3 , 5, 7 and 13 were selected and screened in vitro for their biological activity against breast carcinoma and lung carcinoma
