الملخص

The measured vibration signal of the rotating machine is complex due to the high number of vibration sources present. In this paper, the vibration analysis is used to assess the condition of a gearbox in a test rig. The blocked force signals are used, which are acquired through an inverse procedure. Conventional signal processing is then applied to the blocked force signals. Theoretically, the blocked force invariant to the gearbox housing although it is a property of the force. This invariance is supposed to lead to obtain a more docile signal for fault identification. This work was implemented experimentally using two spur gears, one was healthy and the other was broken.  The Root Means Square (RMS) based on the blocked force signals, is more sensitive to the presence of a fault than those based on conventional signals.
