THE EFFORTS OF DR. AHMED OMAR ABU HAJAR IN SCIENTIFIC INTERPRETATION THROUGH HIS BOOK (THE SCIENTIFIC INTERPRETATION OF THE QUR’AN IN AL-MIZAN)

Abstract

         This research is entitled: The efforts of Professor Dr. Ahmed Omar Abu Hajar in scientific interpretation through his book “The Scientific Interpretation of the Qur’an in Al-Mizan.” I divided it into two sections, each topic has three topics. In the first section, I dealt with introducing the author, as his scientific biography was full of receiving knowledge equally in all areas. His academic stages, which were based on seriousness, diligence, and excellence, or the teaching stages in which the doctor spent more than forty years in the field of teaching, and I also discussed the introduction to the book The Scientific Interpretation of the Qur’an in Al-Mizan in terms of the title of the book, the place of its publication, and the number of its pages, and the reason for the author’s choice to write about this topic. As well as the introduction to scientific interpretation according to some scholars such as Imam Al-Ghazali, Al-Dhahabi and others. In the second section of this research, I also talked about the author’s efforts in explaining the emergence of scientific explanation and its causes and highlighting the balance between supporters and opponents of scientific explanation. The focus was also on the introduction of the book, and on the author’s efforts in reviewing the evidence of supporters and opponents of scientific explanation and balancing and weighing between them. I mentioned some of the This is the evidence that the author mentioned in this aspect, as well as his highlighting of the most important opponents and advocates of scientific interpretation, past and present, and I mentioned some of these scholars whom the author mentioned in this aspect, whether ancient or contemporary, and then I concluded the research with a conclusion, in which I mentioned the most important results drawn from it, I appended it to a list of sources and references.
