Abstract

The research aimed to focus on the importance of teaching in general and to identify the skills of teaching methods in accordance with the requirements of the faculty standard, one of the nine quality standards for higher education. The topic of teaching is one of the topics that has received great importance for a number of justifications, the most important of which is that teaching aims to provide workers in the field of teaching with new skills. And trends in order to develop their performance and professional development in a way that reflects positively on the development of the performance of the institution in which they work and its various aspects and activities.   The focus was also generally on identifying the skills of the university teacher and his role in improving the educational process. The research aims to know the teaching methods used by faculty members and to uncover weak points and strengthen them to increase their skills. The research problem is stated in the question that poses itself: What is the benefit of effective teaching for teachers? What are the obstacles that limit the application of what the teacher learned during his training period? The research problem can be identified in revealing the negative and positive differences between effective teaching and the performance of university professors.   This research also aims, within its theoretical framework, to study concepts related to teaching, diversifying skills, and continuing education throughout life because of its importance and value that permeates the fabric of customs, traditions, and culture prevailing in university colleges through good teaching methods. The research results showed that there is no statistically significant correlation between the averages of faculty members and the teaching methods used with students. The research revealed that faculty members are selected within the institution according to a clear mechanism. The research also showed that the institution is working to provide qualified faculty members. The researcher presented a number of recommendations. Attention to continuous training to keep pace with modern developments in information technology used in teaching. Expanding training courses in the field of teaching to develop their capabilities to provide the latest information in the field in an academic capacity.  Focus on increasing spending to develop teachers and enhance their ability to use good teaching methods.
