Teaching aids in the subject of geography and its role on the academic achievement of students of the second part of basic education

from the point of view of teachers in some schools of the municipality of Souk Al-Juma

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the role of the teacher in providing teaching aids for teaching geography in basic education schools and also aims to identify the role of the educational medium in increasing and developing the skills, knowledge and information of students in the subject of geography, identify the obstacles that hinder the geography teacher when using educational aids, and investigate whether there are statistical differences at the level of 0.05 on the questionnaire of using educational aids among the members of the research sample according to professional experience, where the researcher used the descriptive analytical method to analyze the data, and the research sample was selected by the accidental method, reaching (64) teachers and a teacher from schools Friday market, the researcher reached the following results: That the geography teacher provides the teaching aids to teach geography with a high degree. And that educational aids develop academic achievement in geography among students of basic education schools to a high degree, and indicated the existence of obstacles hindering the geography teacher when using educational aids to a high degree, the most important of which are (the large number of burdens assigned to the teacher hinders the use of educational aids, insufficient class time hinders the use of educational aids, also showed the authority of the administration and its lack of conviction in using educational aids, and the teacher's lack of conviction in the usefulness of using educational aids, and it turned out that it is difficult to obtain modern devices and techniques and power outages, and finally, it turned out that there are no significant differences Statistical significance among the answers of the research sample on the role of the geography teacher in providing educational means for teaching geography according to the variable of teaching experience.
