الأمم المتحدة وإنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية فى الشرق الأوسط

ازدادت المساعي صوب إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في الشرق الأوسط، على غرار ما تم في أقاليم ومناطق أخرى في العالم، ففي أمريكا اللاتينية تم الاتفاق على إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية، من خلال توقيع دولها على معاهدة تلاتيلولكو (Talatelolco). وفي منطقة جنوب المحيط الهادي عبر توقيع معاهدة راروتونقا Rarotonga). بالإضافة الى أفريقيا والتي أبرمت معاهدة بيليندابا (Pelindaba). وتقود الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية ذات العلاقة جهودا حثيثة لتوسيع دائرة المناطق الخالية من الأسلحة النووية، ومنها منطقة الشرق الأوسط، والتي يبدو أن قيامها رهين بإسرائيل المالك لهذا السلاح فعلياً في المنطقة، والمعززة بهيمنة وسطوة الولايات المتحدة عالمياً الداعم الرئيس لها.
