الغاية من إعداد ورقات هذا البحث هي إلقاء بعض الضوء على النشاط العلمي لأحد الأعلام المبرزين في تاريخ التشريع الإسلامي، وهو تاريخ زاخر بعطاء العلماء، ومع اعتبار تعدد مداخل هذا البحث يبدو أن التأصيل والعودة إلى الجذور هو المدخل الأولى بالاعتبار والصدارة، هو الأولى دائما لكن له أولوية خاصة في هذه المرحلة من حياة الأمة، حيث تعددت التيارات، وتباينت التوجهات، وتزاحمت المرجعيات، وتجددت الدعوات المتسترة الخفية ، والصريحة الآثمة القوية تدعو شعوب الأمة إلى الانفصام عن إسلامها، وإلى قطع الصلة بمقومات حضارتها، ومحددات هويتها فكان لزاما بمقتضى القانون الطبيعي، ووفقا للتوجيه القرآني أن ينشأ تيار إسلامي مضاد وقوي، تیار يواجه أباطيل هذه الدعوات هذه الورقات غايتها إلقاء بعض الضوء على التراث الفقهي لهذا العالم العلم القاضي عبد الوهاب البغدادي. والجانب الذي تأتي هذه الورقات تغطية له أو لقدر منه هو : منهج القاضي عبد الوهاب الاستدلالي من خلال کتابه: (المعونة) ومدی دلالة هذا المنهج على أخذ القاضي عبد الوهاب بخاصية التدليل
