كلنا يدرك أن المرأة تمثل نصف المجتمع، وبذلك فإن دورها المنوط بها في التنمية هام و كبير جدا، مثلها في ذلك مثل الرجل، وهو ما يؤكده برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي الذي يعتبر أن المرأة تشكل نصف عدد السكان - وبالتالي - نصف طاقة
