Granada: A Poem by Nizar Qabbani – Stylistic Study

Abstract

The research deals with the most important stylistic levels in a stylistic analysis of the Poem of Granada by the poet Nizar Qabbani. The aim is to search for the internal relations that link elements of the text, given that the language of the text forms a closed circle and the stylistic must analyze it into its final structures. Therefore, the main gate to access the text is through the stylistic levels represented in: The Phonological Level, through internal and external music; The Pictorial Level through simile, metaphor, metonymy and abstraction; The Semantic Level, represented by the threshold and the semantic fields, and the Syntactic Level at the level of the verbal, nominal, informative and constructive sentences. And finally, the Textual Level in the study of relationships, interconnection and internal harmony in the poetic text.  Those levels, which formed a coherent texture in meaning and in significance, contributed to clarifying the contents of a text worthy of reading and studying among many other readings, in addition to stylistic analysis.
