The current study aimed to reveal the nature of the relationship between psychological pressure and motivation to achieve among medical staff in light of the Corona pandemic, and whether the relationship differs according to the gender variable, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a scale consisting of two axes (psychological pressure and motivation to achieve), the study sample consisted of (331) male and female doctors, selected by the available method from a group of doctors in hospitals and clinics in the Libyan city of Al-Bayda, in the year (2021). The results indicated that medical staff suffer from relatively high levels of psychological stress and low levels of achievement motivation. Consequently, there is an inverse relationship between psychological stress and achievement motivation among medical staff in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The results also indicated that there are no differences attributable to gender on the psychological stress scale, and that there are statistically significant differences between the arithmetic means on the achievement motivation scale in favor of females.
