Submission Guidelines
These guidelines are designed to assist authors in preparing and formatting their manuscripts in accordance with the Journal of Economic and Political Sciences' standards. Strict adherence to these instructions expedites the initial screening process and ensures a smooth transition to peer review.
Pre-Submission Checklist
Please verify the following points before uploading files to the journal's system:
- The overall similarity index does not exceed 20% (<5% from a single source).
- A separate Title Page is prepared to ensure double-blind peer review.
- The main manuscript file is entirely free of author names or identifying information.
- Both Arabic and English abstracts are included regardless of the paper's original language.
- All references are strictly formatted according to the APA 7th Edition.
Manuscript Formatting
Page Setup
- Format: Microsoft Word (.docx).
- Size: A4, maximum 25 pages total.
- Margins: 5 cm on all sides.
- Paragraphs: 1 cm indentation.
Fonts & Language
- English: Times New Roman (12 pt text, 12 pt bold headings).
- Arabic: Simplified Arabic (14 pt text, 14 pt bold headings).
- Line spacing: 15 pt (for both).
Tables, Figures & Pages
- Embed directly in text with clear titles (12 pt font).
- Number headings hierarchically (1, 1.1, 1.2).
- Pagination: Centered at the bottom (TNR 12 pt).
Manuscript Structure
- Title Page File (Uploaded separately): Includes: Title (max 15 words, bold 16pt), Author(s) names (15pt), academic affiliations, and the corresponding author's email.
- Main Manuscript File (Anonymized for peer review): Must include the following sections in order:
- Abstract: Bilingual (Arabic & English), max 250 words, followed by 3–6 keywords.
- English Translation (for Arabic papers): Translated title and keywords at the beginning.
- Introduction: Background, problem, objectives, hypotheses, and key literature.
- Methodology: Precise details on research design, sample, and tools.
- Results & Discussion: Objective presentation and critical theoretical analysis.
- Conclusion & Recommendations: Summary and practical suggestions.
- References: Following the required citation style.
Referencing and Submission
References (APA 7th Edition)
The journal strictly adheres to the APA 7th Edition style.
- List references in alphabetical order.
- Do not use numbering. In-text citations must match the list exactly.
- Including the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for references is highly encouraged.
Online Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively via the journal’s online system. Please upload:
- The blinded main manuscript file.
- The separate Title Page file.
- Cover letter.
- Signed conflict of interest and originality forms.
