Plagiarism Check

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Economic and Political Sciences are screened with iThenticate software to verify originality and ensure adherence to proper citation practices.

Similarity Ratio Guidelines

The overall similarity of the manuscript must not exceed 20%, according to the following guidelines:

Single Source Limit

Similarity from any single source must be less than 5%.

Excluded Sections

Certain sections, such as References and Appendices, are excluded from the calculation because they use standardized formats and terminology.

High Similarity (>20%)

  • Automatic Rejection: In cases of confirmed plagiarism.
  • Substantial Revision: Required if the high similarity is due to common phrases or technical terminology.

Scientific Exceptions

Exceptions may be granted for research of a special subject that exceeds the threshold, provided a written justification is submitted to the Editor-in-Chief.

Recommendations for Authors

1. Pre-Submission Check Prior to submission, authors are encouraged to check their manuscript using tools such as iThenticate or Turnitin.
2. Proper Citation Ensure that all sources are accurately cited, and avoid direct copying without using "quotation marks".
3. Paraphrasing When incorporating information from other sources, rephrase it in your own words while maintaining the original meaning and citing it appropriately.
