Authorship Policy
The Journal of Economic and Political Sciences maintains a clear and ethical authorship policy that aligns with internationally accepted standards (such as ICMJE and COPE). Authorship should reflect meaningful scholarly contributions and uphold transparency, fairness, and responsibility in the research and publication process.
Authorship Criteria
To qualify as an author, an individual must meet all 4 of the following criteria, as outlined by the ICMJE:
* Important Note: Funding acquisition, general supervision, or data collection alone does not justify authorship.
- Should reflect the relative contribution of each author and be decided by mutual agreement.
- The editorial board will not intervene in disputes but may request clarification.
- Responsible for managing communication with the journal throughout the publication process.
- Ensures all listed co-authors have approved the final version and submission.
- Adding/removing authors after submission requires written consent from all authors and clear justification.
- The board reserves the right to reject unjustified changes.
Individuals who contributed (e.g., statistical analysis, language editing) but do not meet authorship criteria should be mentioned in the Acknowledgments section, subject to their consent.
Authorship Ethics
All authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts that could influence research interpretation.
In cases of ghost/guest authorship or unjust exclusion, the journal follows COPE guidelines for strict investigation.
This policy is reviewed biennially or as needed to remain aligned with evolving academic best practices.
