Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in Scientific Research
The Journal of Economic and Political Sciences recognizes the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in scientific research. While these technologies can enhance efficiency and insight, they must be used responsibly and ethically to uphold the integrity of academic work.
1. Acceptable Use
Authors may use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, DeepL) for:
- Language editing or translation.
- Enhancing code or computational models.
* AI should not replace the authors' scholarly contributions.
2. Disclosure Requirements
Any use of AI tools must be clearly disclosed, specifying:
- The name of the tool(s) used.
- The specific purpose or task it was used for.
Disclosure must appear in the "Methods" section or before the references.
3. Authorship & Responsibility
- AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
- Human researchers bear full responsibility for accuracy and ethical compliance.
- Misuse of AI, including plagiarism or data fabrication, will result in rejection.
This policy will be periodically reviewed in line with technological and ethical developments. The journal reserves the right to amend its guidelines to reflect global best practices.
