Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of information technology in improving the administrative performance from the city of Qasr Ben Ghashir middle education school principals and their assistants view point. It reveals that there are statistically significant differences in the role of information technology in improving the administrative performance of middle school principals in the city of Qasr Ben Ghashir due to the two variables (a ) job title, ( b ) academic qualification. The study sample consisted of all members of schools due to area size. They were (26) directors and assistant directors. To achieve the objectives of the study, a tool was built to measure the variables of the study, which consisted of (26) ) paragraph distributed into two areas: (the student, the teacher), and its validity and consistency were verified. The descriptive survey method was also used, and the results of the study showed that the role of information technology in improving the administrative performance of middle school principals in the city of Qasr Bin Ghashir came to a large degree. The areas of administrative performance are arranged in descending order, first the student area, then the teacher area, with great ratings. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences attributed to the variables of job title and academic qualification in all areas. In light of the results, the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which is enhancing the role of information technology in improving the administrative performance of managers. Middle education schools by training principals and developing their skills through intensive courses in the field of information technology and its uses in administrative work, and setting the ability to use information technology as one of the criteria for appointing middle school principals
