Abstract

This research was based on the study of different classes and genera of fossils by measuring their lengths, drawing curves and interpreting them as movable or immovable. These fossils are Oyster , Pelecypoda , Gastropoda , Brayazoa , and Echinoid. The study shows an irregular distribution of curves, which explains that they are immovable over large distances and poorly sorted. This is called common fossils life, that is, they lived and died in the same sedimentation environment. Based on a previous study, these fossils are distributed in twenty-six sedimentary cycles belonging to limestone beds in the Naggazah member of the Al Khums formation in northwestern Libya.
