الملخص

   لقد ساهم تطوير نماذج مخبرية تحاكي تجويف الفم البشري في معالجة تحديات كبيرة في أبحاث أمراض الفم، بما في ذلك المخاوف الأخلاقية والتعقيد المتأصل في بيئة الفم. ويُعد إحداث آفات النخر على ركائز الأسنان ممارسة حيوية، حيث تتيح تقييم واختبار مواد طب الأسنان الجديدة. فمن خلال استخدام نماذج النخر الاصطناعي لتقييم إعادة التمعدن، وعمق الآفة، والخصائص الميكانيكية والفيزيائية، والتوافق الحيوي، والتطبيق السريري لهذه المواد قبل طرحها تجاريًا، يمكن للباحثين تعزيز خيارات علاجية متفوقة وتحسين نتائج علاج المرضى. وقد تم توظيف طرق متنوعة لإنشاء هذه الآفات الاصطناعية لدراسة تطور النخر وتقييم فعالية المواد الترميمية. تُعد النماذج المختبرية (In vitro) مناسبة تماماً لاستحداث آفات لإجراء تجارب متنوعة، حيث إن آفات النخر الاصطناعية تشبه إلى حد كبير الحالات السريرية. يُمكّن هذا النهج الباحثين من معالجة تحديات وتعقيدات السيناريوهات الواقعية. وبدون نماذج النخر الاصطناعية، سيعتمد تطوير المواد الحيوية السنية على تجارب سريرية غير متوقعة وبطيئة ومكلفة. توفر هذه النماذج الدقة العلمية اللازمة لإثبات الفعالية قبل وصول المواد إلى المرضى، مما يجعلها لا غنى عنها لطب الأسنان القائم على الأدلة. وبناءً على ذلك، يستعرض هذا المقال أهمية النماذج المختبرية الاصطناعية في تقييم واختبار فعالية المواد الجديدة.
