Abstract

This paper presents a systematic review of research articles concerning environmental radiation levels published between 2019 and 2025 in peer-reviewed Libyan journals indexed on the Libyan Scientific Journals platform. A rigorous set of selection criteria was applied to identify relevant studies across all available online volumes of the qualifying journals. The selected articles were then subjected to a detailed analysis to identify prevalent research trends, key findings, and methodological approaches. The review yielded several significant observations, most notably that the vast majority of studies were experimental, focusing primarily on measuring natural radiation levels in samples of soil, rocks, and building materials. The study also noted a low number of submissions from international researchers, which suggests a limited reach for the journals under review. Furthermore, a clear trend among researchers was observed, indicating a preference for writing in English and a minimal reliance on Arabic references.
