Abstract

With the emergence of container transport and multimodal transport in the transportation process, it has become imperative for ports to develop their services. Where the port is the starting and end for maritime transport, it is also the most important point in the international transport chain. The proportion of goods by sea has reached more than 80% of the volume of global trade, and consequently, container activity has become of great importance in the world of maritime transport, especially with the tremendous development that occurred in the maritime transport industry since the start of the transfer system. The world witnessed rapid and significant development in this field. The research is classified as descriptive, quantitative research through comparisons, data collection, and analysis, this research is one research that was unique in allocating the research topic to Aden Container Terminal specifically by studying, and analyzing the reasons for the decline in its competitive role compared to competing container terminals during the year 2021.
