ENHANCING METHODOLOGIES FOR EMBEDDING AND EXTRACTING WATERMARKING IN VECTOR MAP

In this paper, A blind algorithm is introduced to insert the watermark and extract it onto vector map data in the spatial area of all types of features (Point, Polyline, and Polygon) which improved the results of previously developed algorithms. A main feature of this algorithm is creating a strip buffer that surrounds the block’s diagonal line (mirror) and embeds watermark only on the features that lie within that buffer instead of watermarking the whole block. As a result of considering only the strip buffer, the proposed algorithm reduces the induced error caused by the mirroring procedure. The algorithm is robust against all geometrical attacks (translation, rotation, scaling), simplification, interpolation, and noise attacks. Although the algorithm can embed watermarking in all types of objects.
