A Proposed Vision for Enhancing Students' Communication Skills Using Active Learning Strategies

Abstract

The current study aims to propose a conception, according to the researcher’s vision, which is hoped to be a practical and guiding model that contributes to enhancing and supporting communication skills among students through the use of active learning strategies, given the importance of the role of communication skills in the personal and social development of the learner. In terms of building positive relationships and interacting effectively with the educational environment, it also has dimensions at the level of understanding and response, intellectual development among students, and at the level of classroom management, and a feeling of comfort and confidence while practicing the educational process. The current study relies on an analysis of educational literature that has discussed the topic of active learning strategies and their effectiveness in enriching the educational process and enhancing communication skills during the educational situation, through the descriptive, analytical, and developmental approach, and in light of the study’s questions and objectives. The study presents a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: The need for educational institutions to focus on empowering students graduating from colleges of education with active learning strategies, focusing on them in their university education, and preparing them to use them through a practical education program or through ongoing in-service training courses.
